Is my payment secure?
Yep! The website uses SSL with 128 bit encryption to protect your personal and credit card details when submitted to the site (that's geek talk for industrial strength security). Additionally, Woodfolk does not store credit card details after the transaction has been completed.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. No surcharge is added for any credit card purchase!
What currency are the products listed and charged at?
Australian Dollars (AUD). All items are inclusive of GST.
Is shipping really FREE in Australia?
Yep! No matter what your order size, we ship anywhere in Australian for Free. Shipping is via Australia Post and takes 1-5 business days. Express post is available at checkout for $10 (with tracking) where items are shipped 1-3 business days.
Do you Ship internationally?
Yep! We ship at a fixed rate of $30 (AUD), which takes 14-28 Business days. We can ship to most countries world-wide. If you are unsure if we ship to your country please email email@example.com for confirmation. Any applicable import taxes are to be paid by the purchaser at the destination. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
How long before items are dispatched?
Items are usually dispatched within 1-3 business days, however, there may be times when this may not be possible. You will receive an email advising when the item has been sent.
Delivery is to the delivery address you nominate when placing your order. Risk and title of the goods are assigned to you upon delivery.
I've never bought a Woodfolk product before. What's the quality like?
Top notch! We use only high quality, sustainably sourced natural materials. Each of our products is hand made by experienced artisans, using techniques that have stood the test of time. Every piece goes through a rigorous quality control process in Australia.
How does Woodfolk care for the environment?
Being considerate of our environment is hugely important to us. Our Wood is a Nepalese hardwood that has been grown sustainably, we use natural or non-toxic dyes and product packaging is always carefully considered. Our 100% cotton Jewellery pouches have been handmade by a wonderful women’s organisation in Nepal. We also use 100% recycled paper, and traditional ink and hand pressed stamps for all of our branding and packaging.
How does Woodfolk make a meaningful difference to families & communities in need?
Through Social Entrepreneurship. That means trade, not aid! We supply the funding for tools, infrastructure and the necessary demand which empowers and enables our craftspeople to make a living from their master skills which have been passed down from generation to generation.
Whether it be traditional carving, natural dying, wheel-work, weaving and knitting techniques, Woodfolk prides itself on encouraging these skills and traditional methods, in order to create our uniquely beautiful and quality made products while simultaneously preserving these authentic art forms.
Woodfolk products are all proudly designed in Australia and many proudly handmade by Nepali artisans, throughout Nepal. Woodfolk is committed to working with small family-run businesses as well as Women focused organisations, creating opportunity, self-determination, support and hope in their communities through social entrepreneurship.

Returns & Exchanges
What's your policy in regard to returns / exchanges?
We do our best to provide a very detailed description of each product, and all goods are checked prior to packaging and dispatch. However, if you are not satisfied with your order, items may be returned or exchanged within 3 days of receipt. Please contact us on receipt of goods, or as otherwise discussed, if you wish to return or exchange.
Goods MUST be returned in the new and un-used condition it was sent to you in. We do not accept damaged goods.
Please return your order with an insured trackable courier and retain your receipt. Woodfolk is not held responsible for items damaged or lost in transit. Please include a note with your name and invoice number and once we receive your return, you will be credited for the item amount. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be refunded.
